A Goldman Sachs study published recently projects that spending on cloud computing infrastructure and platforms will grow at a 30% CAGR from 2013 through 2018 compared with 5% growth for the overall enterprise IT.

During the first quarter of 2015 alone, cloud-related IT infrastructure spending in the EMEA region grew 16 per cent year on year and have now reached $1.01bn, representing just under 20 per cent of the overall IT infrastructure spend according to analyst house IDC.

CEOs and CIOs now have full confidence in the cloud. They have trusted the “cost-benefit” and “scalability” promises made by cloud visionaries decades ago. The cloud has reached is maturity and SMEs and enterprises alike are embracing it as part of their IT strategy.

Richard is the Director of Technology at Arthur J. Gallagher and Vice Chair of the Cyber Risk & Insurance Forum (CRIF). With over 15 years’ experience across the London, Australian and regional UK markets Richard looks after the risk and insurance requirements of businesses in the broad Technology and Telecommunications sectors as well helping organisations address the emerging threats associated with an increased use of technology.

An obstinate opponent of the use of the word “Cyber” to discuss the effects of these emerging perils, Richard capitulated when becoming a founder member of CRIF and decided if you can’t beat them join them. Contributing to the UK Governments strategy on risk, CRIF has helped advise on Cyber Security Standards. Richard Chairs the sub-committee that is focused on Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

A specialist defender litigator, Andrew is a key member of the personal injury team and recognised as “professional, courteous and helpful” in the Legal 500 guide 2013. With an impressive number of insurance clients, Andrew acts to represent them in the courts, at fatal accident inquiries and at appeal. He regularly delivers training to insurance claims teams throughout the UK.

Andrew’s expertise extends to employer’s and public liability claims, road traffic accidents and health and safety prosecutions.. He has significant experience of high value litigation including brain injury claims.

Andrew also has a significant commercial caseload ranging from construction disputes and a long running contractual dispute over the management of an oil rig to unfair preferences and general commercial disputes including experience of arbitration.
