Our Client is a fully integrated, multiplatform media group with the UK’s fastest-growing newspaper website. They have two sites in London, one in Blackfriars, the other in Victoria. The organisation wanted to implement a cost-effective disaster recovery solution for their mission critical clustered file servers located in Victoria. In the event of a disaster, users should be able to retrieve, open and save their files seamlessly without disruption to normal business.

After conducting a needs analysis of our client’s environment, we decided to implement Double-Take Advance software for their disaster recovery requirements. The solution replicated files from Victoria to the single disaster recovery site in Blackfriars. To demonstrate the effectivity of the solution and to give our client peace of mind, our consultants conducted an invocation test where we isolated the production environment from the disaster recovery site. Users were able to access the system and log-on and work as normal.
